Developing my style
Light meets darkness
Even in darkness it is possible to create light. Through 'Light meets darkness' I express the possibilities to my viewers that there are inherent challenges when it comes to ensuring sufficient natural light in a limited building. This is undoubtedly represented in my layout workspace. I portrayed how to arrange hotel accommodation to allow more light into small rooms. To represent this, I made a series of models showing the transition from conventional configuration to community-minded rooms, which increased natural light inside internal walls through shared windows. One particular model that specifically reveals how by modifying the current structure, I learned to think beyond the supposed weaknesses, I accomplished my objective of increasing natural light in the house.
Process works:
Models
Constructed by paper, cardboard, fabric, tracing paper (scale 1:50) larger interpretation of room and balcony.
Cutout technique= Chance for unusual shadows to be portrayed resulting from harsh lighting, applying textured fabric on the bed to clearly represent folding techniques
Using unconventional materials such as fabric to create a round shape, holds very well and forms an interesting output especially when implementing lighting and proper photography for final submission.

Applying materials to models using photoshop
My material choices were generated from exploring material palettes that I considered my preferences to be visually pleasing and reflective. I particularly like bright, neutral colours.

Fusion 360 Initials
My initials are MMM and each letter is places 25mm apart. The images below reflect the method of lofting. The M was very difficult to make it have curved edges and because all of my name began with the same letter it didn't have a much interesting look as depicted below.
